The children are becoming quite proficient at solving word problems and showing their thinking on paper!
Carefully filling outlines with various shapes. We enjoy viewing one another's finished products, encouraging discussions about strategies we used and how different shapes can be combined and fit together to form others.
We measure classroom objects, using non-standard units of measure. We record our results, compare them with one another's results, and order the lengths of the objects, from shortest to longest.
We work on place value by writing our numerals from 100-120. Our hundred charts serve as a great reference.
